Yet another achievement! 180 million vaccine doses administered in the month of August
In this crisis of COVID 19 there is still some hope that we are winning from this pandemic and we must give some credit to the covid vaccines because according to The Union government in August, India administered more doses of vaccines against Covid-19 and also more than 180 million vaccine doses were administered in the country last month, while the G7 states administered only 101 million doses.

The total COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in India have so far has crossed 68.46 crore.
Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed that more than 4.37 crore (4,37,83,160) balance and unutilised COVID vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.
So far, six vaccines have received Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI). Among these, Covaxin and ZyCoV-D are both indigenously developed jabs, the other four (Covishield, Sputnik V, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson) are foreign made. Covaxin and Covishield were the first two vaccines authorised by the DCGI, while ZyCoV-D is the latest.
